Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-01-05
This Privacy Policy describes how the CodeBloom Student Portal (the “Portal”) handles information. (Not legal advice.)
What we collect
- Email address (used to send you a sign-in link).
- Account and access status (e.g., which courses your account can access).
- Basic technical logs (e.g., timestamps, request metadata, and error logs) to keep the Portal reliable and secure.
How we use information
- Authenticate you via email “magic link” sign-in.
- Authorize access to course content based on your entitlements.
- Operate, troubleshoot, and secure the Portal.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers. Stripe may collect and process payment information according to their own privacy policy.
Cookies
The Portal uses an authentication cookie to keep you signed in during your session. This cookie is used for security and is not used for advertising.
Email delivery
When you request a sign-in link, we send an email containing a time-limited link. Email is delivered via our configured SMTP provider. The provider may process email metadata as part of delivery.
Data retention and deletion
We retain account records and access status for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legitimate operational needs. If you want to request deletion of your account data, contact us using the support contact listed in the repository README.
Security
We use reasonable technical measures to protect the Portal, including authenticated access for protected content. No system is 100% secure; please protect your email account, since sign-in links are delivered by email.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
